2000 golf speedo problem

So i recently bought a 00 golf i have a tac but not Speedo said they rebuilt the trans and replaced the clutch and that but never checked the speed sensor yet any other problems that i should know

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing.

I found a 3 prong wire that's not plugged in and by chance would it be the speed ? I'm new to the vw

Oh also its a 2.0 gsl 5 speed
