01 passat has bad noise. Please help.

I have a 2001 passat 1.8t. It's making an awful loud ticking noise. It doesn't do it right away, I'll drive it for 5 mins then it will come and it is loud. Goes along with rims I notice it more at lower rpms.what is going on it sounds like top end. It's a standard and makes the noise in neutral just as bad along with revving. Please let me know what you think it could be.

I have a video but it won't let me post it. I just so freakin loud. I brought it to my mechanic and it's oil pressure related but he doesn't know the actual problem and he doesn't want to get into it because #volks haha it only happens at start up then goes away until it heats up(assuming the oil gets hot and thins out) I'm leaning towards an oil pump getting ready to let go but I want to figure out this noise because the noise isn't the pump I know that. Could it be clogged screen and something isn't getting lubricated? Main bearings are loud right? I'm not to car savvy yet but I want to learn to be a mech.

You will find that most forums have a max size 4.77 MB to add files as an attachment. If you have a url to this video then post that.
