Default Jetta needs intake

I just bought my first VW... a beautiful black on black '97 Jetta. My first car was a Nissan Sentra, and was fantastic, but sadly, she was totaled by an idiot in a van... so I'm on to something new.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with choosing a performance air intake. Suggestions?

Default RE: Jetta needs intake

There are a lot of different systems on the market. The biggest issue is that most of them still leave the filter in a hot engine compt.& don't seal the heat off or supply a true "fresh air" or cooler air to the enginewhich wouldincrease your performance. Look for a system that fits ALL your peremeters (including cost) that does this & you will not be disappointed. I have seen gains of up to 8hp on an otherwise stock 2.0l Jetta.............
