what is the stock boost?
 

Just want to know what is the stock boost of a 2005 1.8t gti, and if i get a boost controller what is the highest/saftest psi i could go to without having to perform any mods and blowing my engine up. (bone stock baby)

stock is around 7 or 8... you dont wanna run too high like 22 pounds.. thatll blow it. Ive seen that you can safely run upwards at 17 pounds safely but you should definitely check further into it before pursuing, im not an expert and i haven't researched it too hard.

id check out vwvortex.com, they have a million posts on stuff like that and DIYs. good site, lot of information on there, if not just run i in a search engine
