very loud noise like a heavy vibration

:eek: When I'm driving there is a very loud noise like a heavy vibration.
I know I'm due for a timing belt. Has anyone experienced anything
like this. It's so loud that I can't hear anyone on the cell phone and
music doesn't quite drown it out.
