I have 2 questions about the 1.8T Jetta.
1. Do I need to let the car run for 30 sec. - 1.0 min to let the turbo cool down after driving?

2. When Trying to "race", how do I minimize the lag in between shifts? There is a guy I know w/ a camaro That I would Love to smoke! But I need to practice my shifting and driving so I can!

keep your RPMs high...power shifting will eliminate some of the problem.

letting the turbo cool down can never hurt, but if it is not mentioned in your owners manual, i woudnt worry about it on a stock car.
