shift knob removal 2001 VW Jetta
I can only *** u me that it would be similar to a 2001 golf - if that is the case, in order to replace your **** there are two things you have to be aware of.
First - I believe that the **** and boot are inseperable and therefore a new boot may be in order as well.
Second - in order to get to the area for **** removal you must lift the boot (there is a plastic retaining bracket at the base of the boot that just pops out) peel the boot up to the top and along the way you'll notice a brass clip that you must remove (cut) off that holds the **** in place. Then simply lift up on the **** and it'll pop right off. You should recieve an adaptor with your new ****.
Hope this helps
