Default persistant oil leak

I have a 62 bug with a 1776 cc engine that has a few mod's including dual carbs. Ever since purchasing this car I have had a problem with oil leaks, especially from the crank pulley? On the advice of a local mechanic I installed a breather box to vent the valve covers and oil tower to eleviate the blow-by problem, but I still leak oil from the pulley? Please Help!!!! Any advice, theories, or straight up guesses are appreciated.
