oil sensor light....

she purs like a kitten and is topped up with oil but when it warms the oil indicator will flash and buzz,,sometimes for half a second sometime for a minute and then stop..then repeat..sometimes i'll drive all day and it wont go on...1997 golf....please help. thx Barry.
