I have a golf mk3 1.8 cl 1993...my oil light keeps flashing but only after i have taken it above 2,500 rpm...
iv topped the oil up but doesn't make a difference.... i dont know wot else to do

Any idea would be great.......Also when my oil light comes on a loud beeping noise follows....

 

It could be a bad oil pressure sensor or you could have low oil pressure.

 

change oil to 20/50 and see if that helps

 

Tried the 20/50 oil...For a moment i thought it had done the trick until i put my foot down and then my oil light came back on...

Anymore more recommendations as i dont want to have to take this to the garage as i dnt have enough cash.

How do i check if my oil pressure's low and if it is what can i do about it.....
