oil leak and loss of power
 

I just had my oil housing replaced on my 98 gti and now it's lost it's pep. it doesn't have the power that vw's have and now the oil light is flashing and there is a slight whistle coming from the engine as well. any ideas on what this could be ??? I'm hoping it's not a motor problem

It sounds like you have an air/vacuum leak check all hoses and connections?

If the oil light is flashing you need a pressure gauge connecting to make sure its a faulty pressure switch and not the oil pump.
