hi lads,newbi here,i have just changed my mechanic and he strongly urges me to change from longlife oil 20,000 oil changes to 10/40 oil and10,000 mile servicing,his reasoning behind this is that he has witnessed many many camshaft probs with longlife oil 20.000 mile servicing....this is not a cost issue with me,but im just wondering your thoughts on thesubject,should i stick with longlife or go to 10/40 oil with double oil changes?
ps the mechanic has vw diplomas
