Default Intermitent Heat

So I get into my Westy the other week and the coolant light is flashing. I fill the resivoir and the light goes out. Turns out my head gasket is leaking a bit when the engine is cold, will fix later. So I continue to fill it every so often.

Today when I get in it, the light is blinking, so I fill 'er up. Only now the light does not go out and there is no heat from the vents. Well actually there is heat for a minute, then no heat and still blinking light.

Any suggestions?

BTW its an 87.

Default RE: Intermitent Heat

So i went out at lunch and the system sucked the resevoir dry, the light is out and the heat is back.

Air lock I supose keeping the system from grabbing more collant from the resevoir or the thermostat did not open.

Thanks,
D
