Default 85 Cabby has fire, no start

Hey everyone
I just picked up an 85 Cabby. I zipped it around to get a feel for it. Ran great. Turned the corner and hit a small bump and it died. Pushed it in the garage. It fires with a spot of starting fluid, but won't run. So I know I have fire. Cracked 1 of thee injector lines and cranked it. Fuel line was wet so pretty sure getting gas. Checked both fuel pump relays. I am by myself so cant try to crank and listen for pumps. Like I said looks like I am getting fuel and I know I have good fire. Has me really scratching my head. The guy I bought it from had the same problem, why he sold it. But I have more time to tinker with it. It had sat for about 3 months. Any input would be appreciated.

Up date. Shot power straight to the fuel pump and it fired right up. So obviously not getting power to the pump. I should have done that first, but assumed it was working from other test. 1 of the relays looks pretty old. It worked when I bench tested it, but maybe it's starting to fail? It's cheap and easy so going to replace it. The only other thing I can think of is a short in the wire. Am I missing something? I am afraid it's something obvious.

You need to check out the fuel pump relay circuit.

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing.
