HELP!! 2002 Jetta 1.8 Turbo

I have a 02 Jetta 1.8 Turbo that I bought in April from a VW dealership. The car had 89,000 miles on it when I bought it and two weeks later while on the freeway the car just wouldn't go so I pulled over and the car slowly came to a stop and wouldnt start. Had it towed to the dealer and was told the timing belt broke and could possibly need a whole new engine. So they replaced the engine. (I had a 3 month or 3,000 mile warranty) Got the car back about a week later and seemed to run okay even though the check engine light would occasionaly come on. A few days ago it came on again and started blinking then at the stop light started ideling really hard and began to overheat. I immeditily pulled over and let it cool down then went straight home. The car had little power and every time I would speed up it would shake like crazy. Oh one other thing, I go through coolant like crazy, but there is not a visible leak anywhere. Unfortunatly the warranty is up, and I am broke, any suggestions as to what the problem could be, or what I should do? I would appreciate any advice!!

if you're eating coolant with no visible leaks then your haead gasket is blown. The coolant is going back into the motor and burning. Find out since the dealership did the work if they warranty their work, and tell them the motor they gave you is now blown, and you deserve another before you inform BBB, but BE NICE!

ya
and you only need a head when the belt goes out
they should have put a bigger warranty on it than that
