Default Heater resistor problem????

Hello experts,

I've got a VW touran 1.9L TDI 2004. My problem is heater control 1 - 3 stopped working. Been reading a lot regarding this problem and it seems the resistor is the culprit. I'm no expert in mechanics but I would give it a try. Can anyone offer advice on how to get access to it. Just imagining whether I can get it under the glove box without removing the box. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Default

Raise the hood and remove the wiper arm assemblies.
Remove the cowl plenum grille attaching screws and lift the grille from the vehicle.
Remove the washer bottle attaching screws and move the washer bottle out of the way (if necessary).
