Antennae boost???
 

Hi All,

On my '01 TDI, it seems like I can't get good radio reception unless I'm in the parking lot of the freakin' station. Any cheap ways to boost the range of the antennae? I don't want to do a fancy audio upgrade, just get NPR consistently.

(I have an upgraded stereo and disc player, but nothing fancy).

most likely in this scenario, you have a car with an aftermarket stereo and didnt get the antenna adaptor for the power antenna most of the models have. i was having the same problem, bought the powered adaptor for mine, hooked it in and recieved all kinds of stations as well as the factory. Ieither that, or, if you didnt install the stereo, maybe someone didnt get the adaptor for the euro antenna and the connector is hanging loose behind the radio. people do it. trust me.

If I need to buy the power adaptor, do I get this from a dealer? Car stereo place? E-bay? Thanks for any advice,
