94 Golf III "electrical system failure"...is it worthless?
My wife lives in Toronto and has a 94 Golf III. I think its a 2.0/4 cyl. but it might be a 1.8 (originally from U.S.) she's finding out tomorrow so i'll edit this later.
Look...long story short, it's been in the shop for a month and recently the shop referred it to some electrical specialty place because it had a complete
"electrical system failure". They are gonna let us know whether it's repairable or not.
My question is... if its junk is there anything worth salvaging to sell??? The engine has 134k on it and is in great condition and the car has some after-
market parts (i.e. BBS rims, short shift kit, chip, cold-air, custom fit specialized exhaust and body is in good condition)
I know you VDub experts out there can give me the 411 on what I can do. If it is dead, I need to know like yesterday what I should do with it.
Advice?...Offers?....Options?
Please help ????????
Thanks.
p.s. she lives in downtown T-Dot so there is nowhere to store it if its dead.
