2006 GTi - A/C stopped cooling

Hi -- has anyone experienced the A/C just stop cooling on a 2006 GTi? The compressor kicks in but there is no cool air.....help! The dealer can't get to my car until next week ---- Should I take my car and have the freon checked in the interim?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!!
