I'm buying a96 Jetta GL and I'm told that there are two options for the center muffler. There is an early option and a late option. I know that the one is oval and that one is clamshell. Does anyone know what the diagram looks like for both, because when I looked under the car I'm pretty sure that the pipe coming from the center muffler was coming towards the driver door and then went back to the second muffler, which I think is the clamshell style configuration. I think that the oval style center muffler goes straight to the second muffler without coming towards the door. Hope this post isn't too confusing. [sm=smiley29.gif]

Oh yeah.. the reason I'm asking this is because the car isn't close by to look at and I have to buy the parts for it.
