Does anybody know how to reomove the back speakers of a 2003 gti, any help would be appreciated

 

i think you have to remove the rear seats to take the side pannels off

 

I just move the bottom of the seats foward and poped the rear panels off.
I broke a few snap fastners but they are available at ACE hardware.

they are kind of difficult to get out, you will have to lean the back of the seats back and forth to get that sucker out there...you will also have to disconnect the wire going to the tweeter if equiped.

The factory 6.5" speakers are screwed into a cheap peice of metal baffle.
