Bluetooth for RCD510

Hi,
I just bought my new VW passat 2009 model 1.8 TSI with RCD 510 unit installed. I requested the dealer here in Oman to install VW Bluetooth kit for me so I can use my phone on the RCD510 unit, but they get back to me said this is can’t be installed since you vehicle don’t have phone controls on the steering wheel. I did some online searching and found that I can integrate the VW Bluetooth unit with the RCD510 unit. Is it a right information or not.. Please advice
