I have a 2005 Touareg that has developed strange noises. First of all the centre propshaft (driveshaft) bearing has already been replaced and the VW dealership cannot find an issue with it or the wheel bearings.

Symptoms are that a rumble along with a speed (not engine speed) dependant bumping/thumping noise (similar to that of the propshaft, but not as bad) happens, heard first at 50kmph and speeds up getting louder until about 120kmph. The bumping noise is also much louder when turning to the right and not as bad to the left, but generally louder then driving in a straight line. Also the noise dissappears when I drive over a bump and the pressure is off the suspension.

Any ideas?
