high temp problem.
Guys:
My car 2006 Passat, once I had to replace the two radiator fans (got a cheaper generic) that worked but seemed always staying on longer than it should after the engine is off. The other day a plastic piece of the front air intake (small cover) fell down and stopped the larger fan, I noticed something wrong because the temperature went up drastically; since then when I’m stuck in traffic the temp goes up and seems to me that the fans aren’t going as fast as before, is this possible? What could have happened?
Don’t want to take it to the dealership because I’m afraid it will cost me the value of this 10 year old car. Please help!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum.
Its hard to say what's wrong over the web.
You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing.
