Hi, thanks for viewing my thread, I am currently in the market for buying a 92-02 jetta and wanted some input on how reliable they are. I was viewing a yahoo post and a man who use to work for VW said that during 95-04 I think it was, they wanted to upscale their vehicles to make them look more luxurious and because of this they were plagued with a bad reputation of faulty parts..

Putting that all aside I want to get your own real life experiences and how these model years have been for you. Part of me thinks that some of the reported issues are blown out of proportion, but anyways thanks for viewing!
