Default misfire on #2 and #3

Help!!!! I have a 2002 Jetta with the 2.0L engine. The problem started as a mis-diagnosis on my part. I thought the cam posistioning sensor was bad, but ended up as the fuel pump. After installing the fuel pump and cam sensor, the car seem to be only running on 2 cylinders.

Here are the steps I have done with no improvement.
  • no bent valve
  • coil firing on all four
  • checked timing again
  • installed different set of injectors
  • new crank/cam sensors
I am really stumped and need as much help as I can

Welcome to the forum.

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing.

I did scan it and it threw a mass air flow, air temp, and cam position sensor.

Hey I figured out the issue. The valve on # 3 and 4 cylinder was bent. That is why the cam sensor was showing a code. I do thank you for the help.
