fuel door won't shut

fuel door won't shut

My fuel tank door thing wont shut. Its like the metal thing is sticking out to much and wont allow the door to click shut.

Any thoughts?

isn't there a clip on the fuel door? you could try gently bending that in just a little, but dont bend it in cold weather or too much.

Our '06 has done that since it was new. Crappy latch to say the least!
