Default 99 w/ aftermarket turbo... HOW MUCH BOOST?

i have a 99 automatic 2.0 jetta w/ everything stock. i just bought a 70mm stage 3 turbo for it and i was wondering how many pounds i should run thru it withfactory injectors and exaust and everything else...

im sorry man, but buying a stand alone kit was a bad idea. You cant run a turbo on a 2.0 with stock components. Youre gonna need an intake, exhaust manifold, wastegate, new turbo back exhaust, intercooler, injectors, tuning, or a **** load of time on the dyno, which is way expensive, plumbing for all this, a diverter or blow-off valve, and a boost control solenoid. You may need other stuff on top of that, thats just whats off the top of my head. On top of that, i bet you wont see much more than 250 hp at the wheels. But, you may get lucky. Ive always seen it as a waste to turbo a 2.0, bu t thats just my opinion. On top of that, im not sure whats safe on 2.0 components, but too much power and you'll run into needing new rods and pistons. That said, you could maybe run 3 or 4 PSI on your stock junk? maybe? if youre lucky. Id do some research though. Try the vwvortex if you havent heard of it yet....
