1999 Cabrio
hey guys. I'm new on here and own 2 VWs. i have a golf that won't start but thats an issue for another day.
i bought a 99 cabriolet and it has a push button start in it and starts just fine with it. if i replace the Ignition switch in it will i be able to remove the push starter?
also, is there anything else thats common with these cars i should know about before i get it on the road?
thanks in advance.

If I remember right, when the volkswagon model years were changed from 98 to 99, the 99 CABRIO kept the 98 styling and tech. They said it would be too costly to re-engineer the convertible car and just kept the design they already had.
don't know if that will help you. I found that on a sight that was talking about vw cabrio history.
