Guys, I have a 1999 jetta TDI (love the 50 mpg) but it just started running sluggish and blowing black smoke, also the check engine light came on! So I did what any red blooded american do it yourselfer would do- I got me a code reader! Well now I am more confused than before- it came up P1403 and P1550! Something about the egr something. Now that is as clear as mud! Can anyone direct me please?
