Default Which wax is best for removing oxidation?

I just got a great deal on a 03 Passat. The paint has some signs of oxidation on the hood, roof, and trunk. I waxed the car this weekend with a basic turtle wax wax and it helped but the paint still does not look as good as it should. Is there a wax that will remove this oxidation or will I need to have it waxed with a buffer. I waxed the car by hand. I have never been brave enough to wax a car with an electric buffer. Thanks for the help

Wax does not remove anything. It provides coverage as a fairly thin transparent coating.

You need to buff with a minor abbrasive, an even milder abbrasive, and THEN wax.

Meguiars makes excellent products and has a great website ...

Get a random orbital buffer and some polish. Turtle wax products are garbage. The only in-store product I'll touch is Meguiar's. Good stuff...but I mostly use products from www.autogeek.net. They have pads and polishing compounds that work wonders, as well as instructional videos. Waxing only fills hair pin scratches and paint swirls in the paint and makes the paint shinier with like the previous poster said, a thin layer. Any questions feel free to PM me.

Default Swirl marks

Best way to wax out a car and to not have swirl marks is to apply by hand and take it off with a machine thus you will have no swirl marks.

I cant see how bad awl paint looks like since there are no picks so i will post 2 videos.

- 1st one is for really badly oxidized paint finishes. (products needed are mothers alluminum mag wheel cleaner, turtle wax , rubing compound , ceramic wax) - thats it.!

- 2nd one is for light oxidized paint clean - up. wich what i use on my Personal vehicles. (products needed are maguires ultimate compound, and ultimate polish)
